The Volume X Application Period Will Be Open Soon

We are looking to give student illustrators the opportunity to partner with talented authors and publish their hard work in Volume X of our annual Anthology! We are searching for cover artists who understand our signature, eclectic style and piece artists who can bring our authors’ words to life.

Cover Artist:

Below are a few past covers of the Anthology for reference.

If you are submitting for cover artist, you only need to submit a portfolio of 2-3 finished pieces of artwork of your choosing. It can be previously completed work or something new created for this submission.

Piece Artist:

We have a mock-up “anthology” of public works for interested students. Please choose one or two of the works to demonstrate your skills. There is no specific style in mind; we are just interested in seeing your vision. You do not need to create art for all five mock-up pieces.

We will accept portfolios of your own work for this position instead of the mock-ups, but we would like to see what you can do given the prompts. As an illustrator, you will be working with the authors to create artwork for their piece(s), They will have final approval of the work submitted for publishing. 

Submission:

An artist can either submit for cover artist (this will go to one person), or individual piece artist (an individual person could be taking on more than one piece depending on how many authors are interested in their work), or both.
